Dr. Stockwell was born in Winnipeg. He completed his undergraduate degree in engineering. He worked for some years as an engineer in Winnipeg and Vancouver prior to starting his career in medicine.

He completed his medical training at the University of Manitoba in 2017. He completed 2 years of Orthopedic Surgery residency, primarily at Health Sciences Center prior to transferring to Family Medicine residency. During this time, he completed the Surgical Foundations Exam, AO Basic Trauma course, and published academic papers on knee arthroplasty.

He completed his Family Medicine training in Brandon, Manitoba in 2021. He has interest in sport medicine and primary care musculoskeletal pathologies and is accepting referrals for any patients with osteoarthritis, bursitis, and tenosynovitis for advisement on physiotherapy, bracing, and corticosteroid or visco-supplementation injection for knee OA, AC joint OA, De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, 1 st CMC joint OA, trigger fingers, GT bursitis, ankle OA, plantar fasciitis.
